Directorate of Finance and Human Resources
The Directorate of Finance and Human Resources (D4) is responsible for the administrative and financial management and modernisation of the ministry and of Luxembourg's diplomatic network. It is subdivided into three teams:
The financial team prepares and implements the ministry's annual budget. It is also in charge of the financial management of Luxembourg's embassies and consulates abroad, including the staff and real estate. Finally, it is in charge of the pre-audit of the accounts and the inventories of missions abroad.
The human resources team is responsible the management of the ministry's staff. Furthermore, it implements the recruitment and training policy for diplomats and other ministry officials, all with a view to improving the performance of the ministry.
The seconded staff and family fffice team is responsible for managing staff posted to Luxembourg embassies and missions abroad.
It also monitors the geographical balance and the presence of Luxembourg nationals in European and international organisations and promotes career opportunities within these organisations.
