On 13 and 14 June 202, the Minister of Defence, Yuriko Backes, took part in the meeting of NATO Ministers of Defence in Brussels. The meeting focused on preparations for the forthcoming NATO summit in Washington from 9 to 11 July 2024, as well as continued military support for Ukraine.

The third day of the mission was mainly marked by an event dedicated to the start-up ecosystem, at which the Japanese start-up "Thermalytica", a spin-off from the Tsukuba-based National Institute for Materials Science, active in space technologies, officially announced the opening of an office in Luxembourg.
