Directorate of European Affairs and International Economic Relations
The Directorate for European Affairs and International Economic Relations (D2) consists of three divisions: 1. European Affairs, 2. International Economic Policy and 3. Bilateral Relations and Regional Cooperation. Under the responsibility of the Director for European Affairs and International Economic Relations, the Directorate coordinates European policy across ministerial departments, defines and represents international economic policy in multilateral organizations, and facilitates the development of bilateral relations with member states of the European Union (EU), the European Free Trade Association (EFTA), and EU accession candidate countries.
