Chile

Chile is a country located on the west coast of South America and bordered by Argentina, Bolivia, and Peru. The country stretches along the Pacific coastline and has a population of over 19 million (2023). Due to its considerable length, the country has a wide range of climates, transitioning from a coastal desert climate in the tropical north to a cold subantarctic climate in the far south. The Chilean Andes run almost the entire length of the country. They form most of the border between Chile and Argentina and include the highest part of the mountain range.

Chile is a Republic based on parliamentary democracy with the President as both Head of State and Head of Government. The capital is Santiago de Chile and the official language is Spanish. Chile is considered as one of South America's most stable and prosperous nations.
