Chile

Chile is a country located along the western coast of South America and shares borders with Argentina, Bolivia, and Peru. The country stretches along the Pacific coastline and has a population exceeding 19 million (2023). Due to its considerable longitudinal extent, the nation exhibits a diverse range of climates, transitioning from a coastal desert climate in the tropical north to a cold subantarctic climate at its southernmost tip. The Chilean Andes run almost the entire length of the country. They form most of the border between Chile and Argentina and include the highest section of the mountain range.

Chile is a Republic based on parliamentary democracy whereby the President is both Head of State and Head of Government. The capital is Santiago de Chile, and the official language is Spanish. Chile is considered as one of South America's most stable and prosperous nations.
